It focuses on local cultures, wilderness adventures, volunteering, personal growth and learning new ways to live on the planet. Our company believes in travel to destinations where the flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are primary attractions. We practice responsible ecotourism which includes programs that minimize the adverse effects of traditional tourism on the natural environment, and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. Therefore, in addition to evaluating environmental and cultural factors, initiatives by hospitality providers to promote recycling, energy efficiency, water re-use, the prevention of pollution and the creation of economic opportunities for local communities are some of our objectives. Our goals, reinforced with a specific focus on eco-tourism is to enable people to enjoy and learn about the natural, historical and cultural characteristics of unique environments while preserving the integrity of those sites and stimulating the economic development opportunities in local communities. Specifically, we always attempt to effectively promote the preservation of entire local ecosystems, and not just individual species, vistas or sites. In numerous places, trekking groups have left littered trails and degraded forest in their wake. Against this alarming backdrop, the practice of ecologically friendly-tourism has been gaining increased momentum – both in Nepal and around the World. Our approach to tourism seeks not only to preserve the environment and culture of a tourist destination but also to be of benefit to the local population. By fostering environmental awareness, both among locals & visitors and by linking tourism to social and economic development, it is possible to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of an area through the promotion of sustainable tourism. This not only enhances the positive experience of those on holiday it also helps to increase the standard of living of the local residents. Such a lot has been said about environmentally friendly tourism and no doubt a lot more will be. However, we can proudly say without hesitation that we have led the way in responsible tourism to our country. Our slogan is “Where there is greenery, there is peace and happiness”. In this particular issue, we strongly condemn deforestation and organize plantation projects from time to time. All our guides and porters have been provided training about the hazards faced by the environment. They have learned and adopted practices for protection of the overall environment. The local people of different tourist areas have been provided frequent training and workshops about environmental degradation and specific measures for its protection. These programs provide awareness to the local community about sanitation, the hazards of deforestation, preservation of various eco systems; maintain cleanliness and hygiene and to educate their children on the same. The profits our company earns by selling tour and trekking packages to guests is shared and invested for the above mentioned activities towards the benefit of local livelihood, women’s empowerment and environmental conservation. |
